Need For Speed series has been one of those series that’s been around for a long time. I’ve never been a great fan on the series myself. Must be became racing games start to bore me around 2001 or something around there. But you have to give the game its dues if anything else it is one of the best racing games out there. To help me place the game, the King of Kings did most of the research into the game for me. Mainly because I dislike racing games and find them boring.
Alright, let’s get into the good stuff, the game is a free-roaming city divided into five distinct neighborhoods. Gamers will encounter rival racers who will initiate events, tip players off to the hottest racing spots, and show them where to buy the most sought-after licensed aftermarket upgrades. Each of the five distinct neighborhoods in Need for Speed Underground 2 feature a unique look and feel, including varied driving conditions and track types. Road surfaces, real-time weather effects, and environmental hazards will keep gamers on their toes as they race from dusk till dawn.
With the deep new performance, tuning allows gamers to fine-tune every aspect of their ride’s handling and performance. While hundreds of new visual customizations guarantee players can create their own personalized, totally unique car. The all-new game modes join Circuit, Drift, and Drag events to add depth and variety, pushing car and driver to the limit. There are a dozen new cars and hundreds of aftermarket parts from the biggest names in the business make Need for Speed Underground 2 the deepest, most authentic tuner experience ever
More than thirty of the most sought-after tuner cars are available from the hottest manufacturers; from Mitsubishi Motors, Nissan, and Toyota to Ford and Volkswagen. Tune every aspect of your car’s performance with hundreds of licensed aftermarket performance upgrades and then fine-tune everything from the gear ratio to the suspension for the ultimate ride.
With more than twice the visual customizations of last year’s game, there are literally billions of car combinations available to gamers. Featuring audio upgrades, scissor doors, spoilers, headlights, side skirts, roof scoops, hoods, rims, wide body kits, neon and more.
If I had to go into much details about the things I didn’t like or though where poorly done would have to be the cars look from time to time, which to me seem to be very box-like or flat. In either case, the computer starts off very hard, then as the game goes on it gets easier, this by either you got better or the game got easy on yeah. I found from past racing games that I was able to race very easy without much need to really do much after that.
Remember I’m not a big thrill race game fan, so playing this was limited for the most part. Base on what I have read, my limited amount of gameplay I can see a winner here. A good rating of 4 stars it worth a game such as this one. While this game has been out for a while now, most of you who own PlayStations 2’s have at least played this. If you haven’t I would take the time to go rent it. Even if you’re not a hardcore race car fan, you can still enjoy this game and have fun with it.
