I’m sure you’re going to be asking yourself, what happened? Well, a number of things happen to be honest with you. I’ve read before the whole, I’m leaving the game… I don’t have time or the money. Many times it’s just.. people being picky or in most cases greedy and things never turned out as they were hoping for. And what I mean by that is simply not making real-life money as some wow players do.
There are a number of them out there, who do streams and YouTube Videos, etc. But you know, I want people to know that just because I don’t make anything from doing this, that I’m going to get mad and disappear. To be honest with you, I haven’t really played the game. I’m not currently sub to the game and don’t even have Mist of Pandaria yet. So you might ask.. why? Well, I’m simply too busy with other stuff to keep playing the game as active as I used to play.
That being said, I would like to keep on with my answers to the 20 days of gold-making. I’m going to try to keep them going out every day until I’m done. Once that is done, maybe something else will come along for me to talk about. Maybe I’ll get back into playing the game or find a happy medium so I can enjoy my life, work, and play a game I love.
What were the first techniques/tricks/tips you used when starting out?
I think the first thing I did when I started out making gold was learn how to use add-ons. I haven’t read any other gold makers’ answers to this question but I’m sure many of them were something like this; “I went about to learn how to make gold this way… etc”. Well, I can tell you the first thing I really did was to learn how to use add-on.
The very first add-on I used was Quick Auctions 3. Now some of you might not even know what this add-on is. This add-on is the core of what TSM has become. It was simply an add-on that lets you make groups and post them based on a set of numbers you set, such as how many, how much, etc. Sound something you use now huh? Well, I won’t go into much into the history of Quick Auction 3 and how it relates to TSM.
What I will tell you about the add-ons and why it’s important to learn them if you want to be a good maker is time. Time is the most important tool you will ever have as a gold making in WoW. There are 24 hours in a day, the average person sleeps 8 hours a day. This basically leaves you 16 hours of the day left to eat, use the restroom, and work and most people work 8-hour shifts. So that doesn’t leave much time. So you can see why it’s important to not just have add-ons but have them set up to help you get it done quickly.
I want to take a moment and thank everyone for reading my blog and taking the time to stay sub not just to my Twitter account but to the blog and YouTube Channel. I know I don’t really do much with it and likely won’t ever be able to unless I’m able to get a solid desktop computer. In terms of Twitter, I try to write stuff on my breaks more now that my phone is fixed again and I’ll try to do as much writing as I can on the days I have off.
