This is Majin Planet's signature section. I take great pride in my music videos and make sure that they are of the highest quality. Some of my older movies are not as good (in my opinion) and yet, some fans STILL believe my older work to be far superior to my new, much higher quality movies. In particular, Majin Movie. I have gotten lots of e-mail on my reviewing system, song choice, and most notably bias on my movies. I review music videos a set way and I put EVERY movie through the same challenges. I don't like to grade my music videos much anymore, I let the fans do that now. Enjoy the work and keep your mind open if you download one you didn't like. They are all different in their own ways, and I don't think I've met a fan who has liked every piece I've put out.

| The 10 Star Fan Rating System

The Music Videos subjected to Majin Planet are rated by the fans and the fans alone. Long ago we gave up on the idea of rating our own videos, due to the fact that we as Music Video creators see our videos in a much different light then the average AMV fan. With each new video released we put up a poll with choises between 1 - 10 stars, 1 being the worst, 10 being the best, and for the next 2 months there after we let the fans vote away. At the end of 2 months the poll is taken down and the appropirate amount of stars are put in its place.
Majin Planet believes its rating system is accurate and to the point. However, in some cases a movie may show particular excellence in a specific area, an aspect that we believed needed some attention. The following awards are to show the user that this movie shows OUTSTANDING usage in the following areas.

A finnal good-bye, a final hoo-ra, a final peice of work to close the chapter. Thats what this is. It Majin Mebs first video in over two years, with his first ever non-dragonball video; we present to you... My Angel. It may not be up to the set standars for the time it was created on; but please take it for what it is; this is your final ride from Majin Mebs.

"Gohan Eternal"

A movie I've been planning for as long as I can remember, "Gohan Eternal" is simply that, the story of Gohan's life. Following his battles from when he was a baby all the way to his fight with Majin Buu, I tried to cover all the major points in his life. My only regret is that the song wasn't quite long enouch so I had to skimp on some footage (Frieza especially), simply because of time constraints. The movie flows as good as any and I think that any Gohan fan will appreciate the work I put into this movie. Oh, and one final note, the ending is, well, I guess you'll just have to see it for yourself

Do not let the band or even the song title fool you, this with out a doubt the fastest and hardest hitting music video I have ever done. Think Deftones or Surfacing can hold a candle to this one? Well you are sadly mistaken. I was trying to decide on a theme and it suddenly hit me that I've never done a Gokou music video. It also occured to me that I hadn't done any fast paced music videos in quite some time. So what did I do? Found one of the fastest and best punch songs I could, found all my favorite clips of our hero, and pushed out what I have been told to be the best Gokou Tribute ever. The quality of the video is down from my others because, well I'm not really sure why. It's been so long I kinda forgot my rutien in making high quality, but I'll find it again in my next music video. Until then enjoy this one, it's a great.

I will never forget when Sean and I fought each other's Majin Movies. It was a battle to remember to be sure. My movie did end up winning, but never had I been more inspired by the movie that Sean released. After the fall of DB Utopia, my good friend Sean had finally called it quits after a solid 4 years of being a webmaster. Originally I had planned on redoing the Machine Head song, but in light of Sean's retirement, I thought it would be appropriate to remake not my movie, but his. Dedicated to the guy who inspired not only my movie making but Majin Planet altogether, Sean, this one's for you.

"The Bardock Story"

I believe I have found my rhythm again. This movie took a pretty good amount of time to complete, but I'm very pleased with the outcome. I've been planning this movie for awhile, but never found the uncut Bardock movie until a few days ago. Needless to say, I was quick to make the movie. One thing I can say is that the quality in this music video is one of the highest I've ever made. Capturing clips for this movie was fantastic, because the original VHS was far superior to any of my CN recordings. This movie should appeal to just about everyone, but for those who like Korn... well, you can thank me later. =)

| Incubus "A Certain Shade of Green"

So it's been about four months since I made my last movie (not counting the disaster with the Gohan MV) so maybe I am a little rusty... or maybe I'm not. This music video was really hard for me to rate. It doesn't have the action like some of my movies do, but at the same time keeps good pace and theme. The biggest challenge I found was trying to find clips that would go along with this rather odd song, and that task I think I did pretty well. I myself love Incubus and seeing as Piccolo is my favorite character I thought he needed a really well done music video. I hope I didn't let the green man down.

| Alice in Chains "Get Born Again"

The first movie from my dubbed tapes, this movie will prove to be a classic. A dark song to go along with the Hildegarn's dark past. It contains good paced action along with a decent plot. The quality isn't as good, but that is because of the video tape's quality. If you think you've seen all the good movie 13 movies, or maybe you haven't seen any movie 13 footage, I think those fans will really enjoy this. I wasn't too happy with the ending, but hey, I must still be in "Gladiator" mode.

This movie has to be the most original and profound movie of Majin Planet's existence. The song caries the action, and tell the story better than any movie I have seen or produced. There are various editing techniques used, which I had been saving for a movie such as this (those who saw the trailer know what I mean). The part I would like the viewer to take special notice to is Gohan exploding into SS2. No song in my mind could have been better for this. Powerful and dramatic all the way through, the file size is a little large (for song length and quality reasons), but I think that any DBZ fan will appreciate the power this movie conveys.

Majin Planet takes its shot at Trunks' life with possibly the slowest, darkest, and morbid song to ever have been used in dragon ball music video production. Unlike other Trunks specials, I focused his life on the darker side. The hopelessness of the battles with 17 and 18, the death of Gohan, and his destruction of the people of earth could only be achieved through a song of this kind. Had I chosen a song with even a slighter faster pace it would have ruined the movie's true meaning.

For all those in need of some fast paced, hard core, rough and tumble action, look no further. This movie has so much speed, that you beg it to slow down so you can catch your breath. Straight to the point and never lets go. Have fun watching it, cause it was one of my more tedious movies to make.

Well those who knew my OLD site know I promised this movie a while back. Well here it is, the only Ginyu Force MV (as of 10/12/00) that I can think of. A crazy song for a bunch of crazy guys. Though there is action and my usual precision, the movie is intended to be funny more than anything. Though I do not expect to see as high of scores as "Hope" I still wish to hear what the fans think.

I had to take a swing at the Goku/Frieza battle. This movie is far and away my very best. The screen size is 320x240 but is encoded so that it can be viewed easily in double that size and even full screen thus explaining the unusually large screen size. The quality is excellent as is the song, pace, punches, you name it. It's theme is that Goku is the hope of the universe, a point you will understand as soon as you hear the lyrics. I have matched the action with this fight with the ideal song, there is no contest in the Frieza music video anymore. For those who are sick of the Freiza battle hear me out. A movie of this quality begs to admired, and your assistance in the rating is requested.

Sometimes there are songs that you come across that you just know are good DBZ songs. 8 Stops 7 is no exception. The song would go well with any theme what so ever which is why I decided to go a different way and make a movie containing almost every clip I had in my library. The result was quiet good. Non stop action from the get go and a special touch earn this movie the right to a black star.

Wait, could there be a movie with better clips, faster animation, and a song that will appeal to every DBZ fan? Do I hear HELL YES!? This could be it folks a DBZ flick that has what it takes to beat "Adam's Song." I was disappointed with the results of the early Majin Planet Movie poll, as many people seemed to believe that SIC was just as good if not a little worse than that damn Blink video! I couldn't stand it! So I, Majin Mebs, set out to crush that piece of trash everyone thinks is so damn good! This movie I believe realizes that goal. The Majin Vegeta vs Goku battle was attempted by DB Archives, but I have annihilated it, and discovered with this movie the truly great art of DBZ video making.

Ah damn it. I had this movie all worked out in my mind, but when I put it together it just didn't flow or work quite right. The 5 is because there simply isn't enough action for this truly great song. I should have done some different theme? Ah well, if I get inspired I may do this song over. So to the review: new and original clips of the Goku and Vegeta "battle" against #19. Has good action in places, but the pace of the song demanded more than was given. Good on cue punches...well I guess it isn't to bad after all.

TA DA! This has to be my best work ever. The movie deals with the Bojack battle and is non stop as soon as it gets going. The quality of both sound and video is excellent, and the timing goes fairly well, though it lacks in some areas. I wanted to put a 7 up very badly but the movie just didn't fit the bill, but it seemed to be better than a 6, so, that's worth another half. The clips from this movie were taken from a site called The Next Dimension. If somebody is looking for unique clips, go there. It more than met my needs.

So close... Well the poll asked for Slip Knot and you got it! This is the Majin Planet tribute to Broly. Has some great clips and is damn fast in pace. The quality is sketchy in places, but the action more than makes up for it. I gave it a 5 because the few people who help me rate my own music videos ALL said 5.2 or 5.1 ect, and since I received a 6 spot from only one person I didn't think the extra half was just. For those who are upset that Korn's "Blind" isn't here don't worry! It's coming! Just not for awhile, I have a special idea for that song. Just as a side note the clips from this movie were taken from Sean"s new MK movie. He created it first, not me and I give full credit of the clips to him.

| Tool "Hooker With A Penis"

I bet a lot of you were expecting to see Sugar in this spot right now, well that movie is taking REALLY long and I needed a change of pace. This movie is arguably a 7, and many of the people who are involved with the rankings of the movies couldn't believe that I wasn't quick to slap the 7 on. But I know it isn't near as good as "Hero of the Day." Until I believe I have reached a point greater than that movie all you will see from Substantial Dragon Ball will be 5's and 6's. While watching this movie the first thing that you will notice is that the clips are ALL none cliché, at least not in any music videos I've seen or posted on this site. You will hopefully also notice the new idea of keeping in limited amounts of audio from the show. This is an EXTREMELY effective technique if done correctly. I did play with it a little, but for the most part I stuck with the on cue punches to carry this movie to a higher rank.

This is for all those Static X fans who are tired of hearing "Push it" This movie contains great clips of the Gotenksbuu fight with Gohan and Piccolo vs Cell. The quality is marginal but as always I am a firm believer that rare clips should be cut slack for quality. The scenes are perfect in areas and off in others... that is simply because of RP errrrr. I had a lot of fun with this one, and to all those who know the lyrics you will understand the title better.

Just goes to that you don't know what your going to get till it's done. This is THE BIG UGLY so called because of my friend on the left. The song is kinda short and lacks what I consider enough action to be a REALLY good movie. The song however carries a good pace and is sweet by itself. For the most part the movie is pretty good and for the privileged few who get are involved in the ratings they all agree that it gets better each time you watch it. The only reason that this isn't a 6 is because the quality.

This movie has so much good stuff in it, it is hard to know where to begin. The song is faster than "Die My Darling" and has way more action. Its quality is better, the music is even louder. The lyrics even match! So what keeps this movie from being a perfect 7 if its so good? The fact that the animation is not the best it can be, that is, it is all before Cell. But don't count out the blood! There's more than enough. Oh, and one more thing, the ending to this is as good as it gets.

This is the first movie created by Majin Mebs. It was done to a reasonably fast song and contains good paced action. The entire movie follows Vegeta and his battles with Goku and Zarbon. This movie was created from my personal video card. The only down side is its quality.
