This is Majin Planet's signature section. I take great pride in my music videos and make sure that they are of the highest quality. Some of my older movies are not as good (in my opinion) and yet, some fans STILL believe my older work to be far superior to my new, much higher quality movies. In particular, Majin Movie. I have gotten lots of e-mail on my reviewing system, song choice, and most notably bias on my movies. I review music videos a set way and I put EVERY movie through the same challenges. I don't like to grade my music videos much anymore, I let the fans do that now. Enjoy the work and keep your mind open if you download one you didn't like. They are all different in their own ways, and I don't think I've met a fan who has liked every piece I've put out.

| The 10 Star Fan Rating System

The Music Videos subjected to Majin Planet are rated by the fans and the fans alone. Long ago we gave up on the idea of rating our own videos, due to the fact that we as Music Video creators see our videos in a much different light then the average AMV fan. With each new video released we put up a poll with choises between 1 - 10 stars, 1 being the worst, 10 being the best, and for the next 2 months there after we let the fans vote away. At the end of 2 months the poll is taken down and the appropirate amount of stars are put in its place.
Majin Planet believes its rating system is accurate and to the point. However, in some cases a movie may show particular excellence in a specific area, an aspect that we believed needed some attention. The following awards are to show the user that this movie shows OUTSTANDING usage in the following areas.

This is something that I feel the need to explain.
When I was young, I used to watch an anime titled "Gigantor". No, not the black and white one. The color one. The one for the early 1980's. I used to watch it on the Sci-Fi channel ALL the time.
Then suddenly, it disappeared.
For years, I searched for it. Infact, it took me 10 years to find a decent VHS copy of it.
The copies I received were, well, a BIT bad. The sound was terrible. The picture was horrible. But it was ok, I had the tapes. I felt good. I felt like I grabbed something out of my childhood that I thought I had lost forever.
It just so happened that after I got my first major credit card I was searching throught the DVD index of CDJapan. I thought to myself, "Eh, what the hell? I'll see if they have some 'Gigantor' DVDs."
Sure enough, they did. I was in shock. I immediately began to add them to my cart so I could buy them.
Apparently, the boxed sets had been out for two years in Japan, and the supplies were VERY limited.
I could only snag the first part(episodes 1-25). But wait, they're region 2 DVDs. Automatically, you should assume that they were VERY expensive. If you thought they were, you were right.
I spent about $330 on these FIVE DVDs. I didn't care though. I had the anime I love the most in my possesion AND in PERFECT quality.
So, now to the vid.
It's here. This is a testament to myself. I don't care about opinions. I don't care about feedbacl. I don't care if no one watches this.
This movie was made by me for me. I love it. It's my prized possession as far as AMVs go.
What is it about, you ask?
Well, it's just something I thought was neat.
I took the original theme song from the American version of Gigantor that was released with the anime in the 1980's and fit it to scenes I thought went with it.
It's not technical masterpiece. It's not AMV of the year.
It's what makes me happy.
For those of you out there that search for something for so long and finally find it...you'll know what I mean when I use the term "happy".
Also, the ending credits are really REALLY kid-like. I used to write like the font I used, so don't think too much of them.

| System Of A Down "Soldier'S Side"

This is my first attempt at video editting in nearly a year. First COMPLETE attempt. My other video was cut short due to some technical errors.
On to this video...
The basic concept of this video is simply within the song. When I first heard this song, "Soldier's Side" by System of a Down, the vision of Berserk immediately popped into my head.
Now, this isn't your typical Berserk video. It's steered towards more of a dramatic feel. The rise and fall of the friendship of Guts and Griffith, if you will, is VERY dramatic, and when I heard this song, I immediately wanted to begin making a movie to it.
With my skills, however, I couldn't pull what I wanted off. If I had more experience in editting, then I may have realized my vision.
I've got a few other projects under my belt that distracted me from this one. They took my interest away in it as well. So, what you're seeing is merely half of what I wanted to show you.
You'll notice at the end of the video that it says "end part 1". Well, this is going to be a two-part video. One part drama. The other part action. As soon as I get what I need done done, then I'll definately begin on that part.
Finally, this video is only 1:10 long. It took me forever to complete due to lack of motivation.
