I’ve been looking at the options on writing every episode review for the Regular Show and after doing a few and looking at the traffic and mostly how many times it’s been read. I just don’t feel they are getting enough views to keep writing them. That however doesn’t at all mean I’m not doing the anymore. So I’ve decided to start with the newest episodes and later do season reviews of the past seasons. That said, World Best Boss is pretty awesome and happy to see them get back to the roots of what makes Regular Show, awesome.
So this week, or should say last week (July 15th release) World Best Boss is an episode that has everything you would want from Regular Show, it covers all the characters and a simple issue, the Park Crew wants to get something for Benson for this Ten Year Anniversary. Rigby comes up with a funny idea, get Benson a World Best Boss Mug, thinking it’ll be funny the other members think it’s a good idea.
Mordecai, Rigby along with Skips, Pops, Muscle Man, Hi-Five Ghost and Thomas head to the mall to get the mug. But as you can guess, all the stores are out of it but one. Finally they find one but it ends up being broken leaving the crew unsure what to do.
Finally, they order a mug online with overnight shipping, hoping to get it before the meeting starts. What they get, is well a full-grown man holding the mug they wanted. The man tells them he is the world’s best boss and isn’t going to give it up. When the crew demand it, the Boss calls out his men and an all out fight breaks out over the mug. It’s pretty hilarious as the events unfold, ending with Benson showing up to his dismay of what’s going on.
Nothing was done the day before (given they where out shopping all day), annoyed with the situation Benson jumps in giving them the upper hand. They defeat the Boss and the mug is given to Benson. Benson is touched that they thought of him so much even know he knows he’s not the world best boss. Benson thanks them and then threats them to clean up the mess or they are all fired.
I found this episode to be amazing, not only because it was just down right a hilarious situation but because I feel it went to the roots of what the show is about. Overall I give this episode a 4 out of 5. The animation seems a bit low quality compared to past episodes but it’s nothing to really a big deal. What did you think of the episode, leave me a comment.
