This is something that was addressed on Twitter a few days ago, and I felt like maybe I should talk about it more outside of the walls of Twitter, given more room to speak my mind about it and maybe hopefully put some light on something that has been sort of problem for a long time now. That is items sharing cooldowns with older cooldowns form expansions past.

I spoke a bit with Elivine by Twitter about this, I 100% agree with him and I myself have wondered this for a long time now. Many transmute and not just transmutes but other cooldowns have shared together when honestly they each should have a cooldown on their own. Given that older mats in the game generally, gain more value as they aren’t farmed as much or in this cast crafted become harder to get for some players.
I remember when MoP dropped and I did my cooldowns for gems when I went to do the older ones I wasn’t able to do them. This forces me to use another alt to craft older stuff. They didn’t have access to the new cooldowns so it wasn’t a huge problem. But what if you don’t have many alts or like some players are only playing one or two characters?
I’ve gone the whole only playing one character for a time and also played 10 some characters at the same time. For me, I think I enjoy playing about three characters in total, right now for example I have my main hunter, Focushot and then my alt Nubslug, I also have another other that I simply use to post goods on the auction house but don’t spend more than that on them.
In any case, if you’re a gold maker you’re more than aware of this problem, but for those not aware, this is a problem and hopefully it’ll make it up to the list of things Blizzard will want to fix in the future. The biggest issues it that it might not be just a simple fix of the code, it may require more time to fix than what we might think.
Until Next Time.
