Frieza

Description: This is Frieza’s first form. He uses this form to hide his true power, making his opponents believe they have the upper hand. Even in this state, his power is still far beyond most fighters.

Frieza Form 2

Description: In this form, Frieza becomes much taller than his previous form. His horns point upward, giving him a bull-like appearance, and his body becomes much bulkier. His power increases greatly, making him far harder to challenge.

Frieza Form 3

Description: This form looks much different from Frieza’s other forms, with a design similar to one of the creatures from Aliens. His voice also changes, sounding almost like two voices at once. He only stays in this form for a short time before moving on to his next transformation.

Frieza Form 4

Description: This is one of Frieza’s final forms. In this state, he can hide his power level and raise his strength by percentage as the fight continues. Frieza begins to overpower Goku, but after Krillin falls, Goku is filled with anger and transforms into a Super Saiyan. From that point on, Goku gains the upper hand against Frieza, no matter how much power Frieza brings out.

Frieza Form 4 Maxed

Description: This is Frieza’s ultimate state during his battle with Goku on Namek. The fight continues for a long time, with Frieza pushing his power as far as he can. After using energy discs against Goku, Frieza is caught by his own attack and left in a severely weakened state. Goku gives him some energy, but Frieza uses that chance to fire one last blast. Goku counters the attack, leaving Frieza in an even worse condition. After Namek explodes, Frieza is later found by his father, King Cold.

Metallic Frieza

Description: This is Frieza’s rebuilt form after the battle on Namek. His father, King Cold, has him restored as a cyborg, making him even stronger than before. Frieza comes to Earth with King Cold and his soldiers, but he soon meets Trunks. Trunks overwhelms Frieza and his forces with ease, ending Frieza’s return once and for all.

Larva

Absorbed: Nobody

Description: Cell was genetically created using cells from Goku, Vegeta, Frieza, Tien, and several other powerful fighters. He begins as a tiny life form inside a tank.

Egg

Absorbed: Nobody

Description: When Cell left his second larva state, he discovered that his own time had very few people left to absorb. To reach the date entered into Trunks’ time machine, Cell returned to his egg form and traveled back in time, knowing he would have to evolve all over again.

Shell

Absorbed: Nobody

Description: When Cell grows to normal size, he appears as a more insect-like creature that walks on six legs. After a few days in this form, he breaks out of his shell and becomes Imperfect Cell.

Imperfect Cell

Absorbed: Countless people

Description: Cell is one of Dr. Gero’s greatest creations. He has cells from Goku, Frieza, Piccolo, Vegeta, Tien, Yamcha, Gohan, and other powerful fighters. Cell was programmed to absorb Android 17 and Android 18 so he could reach his perfect state. In this form, he absorbs many people to increase his strength.

Imperfect Cell Form 2

Absorbed: Android 17

Description: This is Cell’s next state after absorbing Android 17. In this form, he quickly overpowers Android 16. Tien is able to hold him back for a while, though with great difficulty, until Vegeta and Trunks arrive. Vegeta overwhelms Cell at first and outsmarts him in battle, but Cell eventually manipulates Vegeta into allowing him to absorb Android 18 and become perfect.

Perfect Cell

Absorbed: Android 18

Description: This is Cell’s best and most complete form. In this state, he believes he has no equal in the universe. He can regenerate lost limbs and withstand powerful attacks. He also knows many of the same techniques used by the Z Fighters, with only a few exceptions. Cell proves to be far too strong for the Z Fighters until Gohan becomes enraged after Android 16 falls and reaches the Super Saiyan 2 state. From that point on, Cell is no longer able to control the fight.

Majin Buu / Fat Buu

Absorbed: Dai Kaioshin

Description: This form appears after Majin Buu absorbs Dai Kaioshin. Because of Dai Kaioshin’s influence, Buu develops a softer personality, a huge sweet tooth, and a more playful nature. The downside for Buu is that much of his power is held back by this gentler side. This good form of Majin Buu is later separated from his evil side. Afterward, he becomes a good guy and remains incredibly powerful. He also becomes close friends with Mr. Satan and Bee.

Evil Buu

Absorbed: Nobody

Description: This form is created when Majin Buu’s evil side separates from his good side. Evil Buu is much more dangerous than Fat Buu and fights without holding back.

Super Buu

Absorbed: Majin Buu / Fat Buu

Description: This form appears when Evil Buu absorbs Good Buu. Super Buu is thinner, stronger, and far more dangerous than before. Even so, he still keeps Buu’s old sweet tooth.

Super Piccolo Buu

Absorbed: Piccolo

Description: After Majin Buu absorbs Piccolo, he gains Piccolo’s intelligence, power, clothing style, and techniques, including the Makankosappo.

Super Gotenks Buu

Absorbed: Gotenks

Description: After Majin Buu absorbs Gotenks, he gains Gotenks’ vest, power, and techniques. He also gains many of Gotenks’ attacks, including his ghost-based technique.

Super Gohan Buu

Absorbed: Gohan

Description: After Majin Buu absorbs Mystic Gohan, his power rises dramatically. He also gains Gohan’s clothing style, techniques, and fighting ability, while still keeping the abilities he gained from the others.

Kid Buu

Absorbed: Nobody

Description: After absorbing Vegetto, Goku and Vegeta separate inside Buu’s body and are able to move around within him. They find and release everyone Buu had absorbed. Without Dai Kaioshin’s influence inside him anymore, Buu returns to his original form. Kid Buu is extremely dangerous because nothing is holding back his true power.
