The aftermath of a mysterious environmental catastrophe has left the land in complete desolation! While mankind has been able to rebuild the city, the catastrophe has caused some humans to undergo genetic mutations granting them special powers and abilities. These genetically enhanced humans are known as Alters. Kazuma has spent his entire life in the wastelands relying on his special powers to survive, but when a secret organization called ‘Holy’ threatens to take away his freedom, he will be left with a choice to join or die. His fight to seek the truth behind the ‘Holy’ will rage and consume humanity and Alter alike!

Scryed: Organizations
Alter Users:
22 years ago an unkown source of great engery effected about 2% of the people in the area and caused them to have “Alter” abilitys. These basicly allowed the people with the ability to manipulate matter into a form called an “Alter.” Everyone has a differnt Alter, it can be anywhere from a robot to a human-like figure. The people who have these abilitys are treated as outcasts and are called Alter Users.

Holy:
HOLY is an organization of Alter Users who have become “civilized” and joined HOLY. HOLY promises the people who join there organization the ability to live civilized and not be treated as an outcast. HOLY gives its members a home, clothes, food, ect, everything they need. The only problem with all this is that they are using the members of the organization as tools for evil.

HOLD:
HOLD is a police organization used to keep the ALter Users under control. While people think what HOLD is doing is a good thing, the truth is that they dont care if your good, bad, an Alter User, or just a regular human living outside the city; you are treated exactly the same, like scum. Hold has control over the HOLY organization and is funded by groups from the main land, one group in paticular is the Kiryu family.

Scryed: World Guide
The Main Land:
The main land is basicly just the area of the world that has not been “infected” by Alter Users. This is the more civilized area of the world.

The Lost Ground:
This is a completly undeveloped area where the majority of Alter Users are found. This area is divided into two parts, the city area and the undeveloped district. The city area is completly civilized and is also where the HOLY hq are. THe undeveloped area is inhabited by many people, Alter Users and Humans alike. The people here are poor and are constantly working and unhappy. They are also constantly having to deal with the threat of the HOLD.

Alter Forest:
This is an area that no human, apart from Kazma, has ever come out of. It is inhabited by animals that have alters! Also deep in the forest there is said to be an area that can create Alters.
