Over the years, I've streamed on Twitch, Mixer, YouTube, and even a little bit on Kick. I was most successful on Facebook Gaming in 2018 — it was all the timing; Facebook was trying to jump into the live-streaming market. They offered almost anyone money to stream. The big push helped me because I stream almost 6 days a week. I did a good 2 or 3 hours every day after work. I can tell you that while I think it was a good time, I did meet some people; I even got some friends more into streaming.

But it was not good for my mental health. Today I don't stream; it's been almost 3 years since the last time I went live. Back in the day, it was about getting subs, bits, stars, whatever it was to earn money—being entertaining for hours when you're mentally checked out. It's not healthy; some people can do 10-20+ hours, which is great. I've learned over the years that being a streamer is not about making money — it's about connecting with your community and sharing things with them.

Right now, if I did come back to streaming, it would be on YouTube only simply because I'm not interested in getting people's money from subs or stars or bits. It should be free entertainment for them, for the people who already watch and are already members.
