So Naruto manga 644 came out on Wednesday and as you can see this is Friday. This is because I’m not looking to be ground breaking news related content, truth is for at least the manga chapters I would have to be up early in the morning, read the chapter and then wrote this review. I’m not going to do that anymore because I feel it makes for bad reviews and they come across as only me trying to get more views.

Father and Son

So Naruto and his father, the fourth Hokage linked there chakra together and as I spoke the last week with Chapter 643 on how they would go about fighting off Obito’s attack. As we saw in this chapter they used the combination jutsu of the Fourth’s Teleportation Jutsu and Shadow Clones (the idea of them anyways).

Now this chapter was a character development for Naruto as it shown that he can come up with great ways to do things on the battlefield. Some might say Shikamauru was shown to not have any ideas either. However he didn’t have the information that Naruto had about his father and the jutsu’s I’m 100% sure if Shikamauru had this knowledge that he more likely would have come up with the plan even quicker then Naruto had himself.

That still doesn’t knock Naruto for his skills and it does beg the question, will he be able to defeat Sasuke? I sort of look at them like Goku vs Vegeta in that respect.

The Shadow Clone Justu

It’s amazing how we learned a lot in this chapter about where these powerful jutsu came from. For example the Shadow Clone jutsu is used by nearly everyone from day one. Even Naruto has used it and it’s been his go-to-jutsu since the start. We discover that the Second Hokage created the jutsu. Say what you want about him, it’s amazing the stuff this guy created.

The Manga’s Outcome

At this point I feel we’re gearing up for the ending to come in maybe another 20 or so chapters. I think we’ll get a small handful of chapters left to finish up Obito. I would be shocked if it goes longer than that. While this chapter was amazing, I love the whole father son deal and what Naruto says at the end to his father. It made me cry some inside, while all this amazing events are unfolding, we still have much unknown that needs to be cleared up.

First off, where is Kakashi? Did he just die or is he trapped? I’ve been asking this question for a while now and we haven’t seen any answers. There is also the question of the other Hokages and Orochimau, are they coming? Will they  make any sort of impact? Then we have our poor Yamato which we haven’t heard or seen in a long time. At this point I almost want to say he was killed for some reason but who knows.

Overall it was a solid chapter, I give it a 4 out of 5 for being purely awesome and giving us some character development on Naruto, showing us he’s grown and could be Hokage and not just that whiny brat he was. We saw the plot move forward as well as learning where the Shadow Clone Jutsu came from.
