Alright as you will notice that for a few days the Google ads disappear off the site and then reappeared. The first reason they disappeared was because I removed them. I was going to try and run the site with out any sort of advertising at all. However I was talking with some friends and what I decided was to keep them. The matter we discussed was how I was using the ads. The big question was why doesn’t they ads work here but they do on other sites. Well the answer was simple, that I wasn’t placing them right and was using too few of them. I was under the idea I was only allowed 3 ads total. However I have learned that was not the case and I am at the moment making better use of the placements.

I am no longer going to be offering adverting to anyone for either free or paid. The reason is very simple, no one ever asked me. I was asked once, a long time ago. However they never went through with it and I simple added the section for the future. However this site isn’t seen as a site where people who look for advertising would want, which is fine by me because I really didn’t want this site to become nothing more then a place to advertise crap.

The Google ads will stay simple because they work, even know I kind of dislike them, part due to for me they dont’ work while it does for people who basically cheat the system. So like whatever, I’m going to try it for a month longer. I am close to getting another payment form them, which is you didn’t know has been building up since like Feb 2006, so yeah long damn time, while other get payments every month. Its a little BS if you ask me.

I added the search feature and set it up so search results are shown on the site, the layout it gives is a little non-working in the matter I can’t style it the way I want. But it there, so if you use Google’s lot try doing it here, or if you happen to be here and decided to leave, the search box is there, even know most people who use Google’s generally have the Google Tool Bar which as a search feature. All I will say is that every time you use it to search it helps this site out and if you support the site then use it. If not no big deal. If it doesn’t show to be worth the time in a month I’ll pull it.

Things are really slow for me right now, I have lot of outside web site work and other stuff I don’t wish to discuss, so the site may go inactive a bit. I’m going to really try to keep the contest going every week but if I miss a week for whatever reason don’t flip out on me about it, I’ve already had 3 people email me flipping out about there being a Graphic War this week and no AMV Raw.

Let me explain this, even know I shouldn’t have too, basically AMV Raw takes me a long time to set up. Setting up matches and the polls isn’t that hard, its the streaming that’s a bitch. I have to download the videos form the Org, which limits the speed and how many I can download at a time. I then have to convert them if they are in a format that can’t be convert to Flash, such as MP4 and WMW. That takes time, then the process of converting them to flash, then uploading them and linking them. This is why you tend to see more of the editors on the site used more then who aren’t because the converting step is already done. It’s also why you may have one or two videos used over and over. Again once I convert them, I save the stream on the server so I don’t have to do the converting step again. Graphic War on the other hand is easy to setup.

Until I can come up with a better way to do it, that’s how it will go. That is unless I just don’t do streams anymore, which would be lot easier on me. But then I’m going to have people complain that people aren’t downloading the videos and still voting base on names. Well personally, I don’t blame them because hardly anyone but a few people even comment on AMV Raw and no one never comments on Graphic War weeks. But when I don’t do them people complain? I wont lie, I some times wonder why I bother with it. But because some of you do like it and you do take part in it beyond just the submission part of it I’ll keep doing it. Those of you who don’t take part well don’t know what to say. The idea was for to turn you into members and if you choose not to be active or join beyond that nothing I’m going to say or do because its pointless.

Link trading, okay short little rant. I no longer will take any link trades where you want to affiliate with us. If you notice I have no links on the site menu, no list saying Majin Planet Affiliates other then past links in the features section. Those sites who I did affiliate with or who are long time affiliates of Majin Planet, even before my arc here, are will and the true Affiliates of this site. That is why on the link page they are showcase as buttons. Its full, do not ask me about it. If you want to trade links submit using the contact form, but be sure to have the link up on your site already. Because I will check your site and if I don’t find a link easy on some sort of link page I wont bother replying.

What kind of site is this? I’m a little sick of people asking me what is this site now. I also get lot of people asking me if I’m an anime site why dont’ I host episodes. I have 10 times as much traffic if I offer episodes, even just DBZ episodes they tell me. Get over it, this is no longer a anime web site. I’m done with the anime community. No longer am I a member of it, I only post one like 2 other anime forums and I wouldn’t even call it that. The simple fact is this, yes Majin Planet was a Dragonball Z Fan Site, it became a Anime Fan Site, it has become a Entertainment Fan Site. There is much more then just Anime, other then just what the site use to have, besides of what its missing, there are no other anime stuff here. I’m working hard to break the hold that the anime community has on this sites name. People come here hoping to see a DBZ site, sorry but no. I love Dragonball Z, I’ll talk about it, discuss it and debate it. But running a DBZ only site is not something I want to do. I try it 3 times, never really was happy with it and the one I was happy with got attacked a number of times. I got called a ripper and was made fun of and to top it off the site was hacked.

The anime community high ups or those who control who becomes big and who don’t either dislike me for no reason what so ever or don’t know me at all and could careless. Prime example of this was NarutoCentral, who someone I don’t even know, never talk to or anything called me a Noob and even drop Majin Planet from its list of affiliates after I fully took control. I had another jack ass threat to hack me all because he felt I stole his idea of having a MySpace page for the site… which as I told him and to every one else who has a MySpace for their web site, I was the one who started that. Back in 2005 I open a MySpace page for BansheeForce.net in hopes of getting more traffic to the site. At that point no other site had it, it didn’t last long. Maybe that is why most don’t remember it. When I finally got Majin Planet going I made it for that. I found months later lot of sites start to show off MySpace pages. Now I’m not going to say that I start it, even know I think that someone big saw me do it and then did it, which everyone else stole it form them. Point is I don’t go around saying I started it. Its silly being that I also kind of hate MySpace.

Now I feel better.
