How Ultra Instinct uses Instant Transmission

A lot of people have been talking about Ultra Instinct Goku form since the episode aired last Saturday night, with most watching the sub version Sunday. One of the things, that has come out of it, was that Goku became extremely faster. In fact, dare I say was as fast as he is when using Instant Transmission. Before I talk about how fast Goku became. I want to point out that will not be talking about how it made Goku stronger. There are theories as to how this happened, as it was pointed out, the Spirit Bomb did not make him strong, no it simply acted as a power source.

How fast is Goku?

Goku on his own in his normal base form is rather fast, in fact, his speed is likely 1,000 times faster than when he first saw him fight his brother in the Saiyan Saga. I might even be underplaying that for sake of this topic. I have a theory about how Goku was faster than normal and you can see it when he first attacks Jiren in his new form, appearing to bring a kick to his face in midair to show off everyone who was not able to follow nor sense his movement at all.

Without going into the whole power level idea of how strong Goku became or simply was he able to simply match Jiren all along, overthinking and worrying so much about powering up to holding back power so as to not run out was what held Goku back from really being a threat. This brings me to this point.

Instant Transmission

Goku learns this after his fight with Namek and has used it as a way of moving himself or his friends across the universe. Even to the heavens to King Kai’s world. He has used it to dodge attacks he otherwise would have been hit by or even by a means of attacking.

With his famous Kamichama Instant Transmission attack which he first used on Cell by appearing right next to him while Cell’s eyes were on him in the air. For the most part, had to focus really hard to use Instant Transmission which he normally motions by putting his fingers to his forehead. However, given all of that, it’s my theory. When Goku broke his shell and unlocked his own hidden power which results in him going into the Ultra Instinct form, Goku was using Instant Transmission without even thinking.

Instant Transmission Unbound

If you really think about it, even Goku was shocked at first when he came in so quickly and I did love how they gave us just a bit of how Goku saw it when he came in for that first attack. Basically, Instant Transmission is natural to Goku, but he still needs to focus to use it at times.

His newly unlocked hidden power to fight without thinking means his body is using Instant Transmission without him thinking about it and that would explain how he’s moving so quickly. It also explains why no one has been able to see his movements and why he seems to be moving differently than before.

Just a theory

True it might be hard to believe that Goku was hit by his own spirit bomb that his energy pushed against. His willpower broke him out of his shell and made him instantly now more powerful than the God of Destruction.

Heck, they have hinted that Jiern is stronger than the God of Destruction itself. Given that if Goku matches him and even for a short time pushed past it, does that mean Goku is now on a level beyond a God of Destruction?

It’s silly because I personally don’t see Jiern as a bad guy. While something is hidden by maybe going on given how the God of Destruction and Jiern spoke to each other. Are they to tell me that in the universes that didn’t take part because they were on a whole other level means there is someone out there that even Ultra Instinct would have issues with?

Just a state of mind

That is why I bring you back to my last topic about it, why I feel this is a state of one’s mind and not a powerup that can just turn on and off like X20 Super Saiyan Blue Kaio-ken has been used or a new form like Super Saiyan Blue. Which has been pointed out to not be as powerful as Super Saiyan Goku.

Because the longer one uses Blue the weaker it gets due to the massive amount of power drain? Not like Super Saiyan 3 but still overuses it, which is why Vegeta often fights as a Super Saiyan 2 and Goku goes into Super Saiyan God or SS2 as well.

In the end, I still believe that Goku’s new form, powerup, or state of mind however it turns out to be is using Instant Transmission. It would make sense how Goku became so fast in a short time. As we know he didn’t get that way due to the power of the spirit bomb. It was only acting as a temp power source given he was out of power. We all know what happens to Saiyans after they heal from near death.

That is right, episode 111 will likely show Frieza giving Goku energy as Goku did to him on Namek. Hint the reason he says. “Remember what happens back on Namek” while holding an energy ball at him. It’s unlikely he’ll try to kill Goku because I’m sure the Zen-Oh likes Goku and would protect him. Again, just another crazy theory from Majin Planet.
